Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice 2010

Yours truly always looks forward to the Winter Solstice as the shortest day of the year points toward the beginning of the 6 hour transition to the Summer Solstice happening around June 20-21. This year is Saturday, the 21st. Winter's also a biggie due to the fact nature's stripped to its essence, showing just how beautiful reality can be though it can be dangerous to see why this is so. Sadly, winter's going away thanks to global warming but the memory remains as seen in the pix below. :)
