Blowing it off comes to mind here as Iran's proposing a way to end this needless and never ending war by asking for basically the same terms the US accepted over a year ago including allowing UN inspectors to go in and verify Iran's non-pursuit of nukes. Simply unreal as diesel prices go through the roof and fertilizer no longer reaching farmers concerned about losing their crops. How much longer is the US going to tolerate this insanity because Trump's actions are now becoming existential as the midterms enter into the equation.

submitted by Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz within a week.

“I reject their proposal,” Trump told reporters outside the White House on Saturday,

adding that Iran wants an agreement because they’re “losing so badly”.

“They want to make a deal and I think that’s fine,” he said.

“I’d like to make a deal, too. But that deal would not be acceptable.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Tehran formally submitted

a seven-day roadmap to the US via mediator Qatar, and was awaiting Washington’s response.

“It appears as though the proposal is dead in the water,” said Al Jazeera’s Mike Hanna,

reporting from Washington, DC.

President Masoud Pezeshkian has told Al Jazeera that Iran no longer trusts negotiations with the United States after previous rounds of talks were followed by attacks and sanctions, as Tehran awaits a response to its latest proposal to end the war.

“We have no trust in the American side and do not know on what basis an understanding can be reached with it,” Pezeshkian told the Qatar-based broadcaster in an interview aired on Saturday.

The world doesn't trust us either.
