Thinking of Ulysses

Leave it to Twistedswifter to find extraordinary high res pictures of Dublin taken way back when. This particular gem is Sackville Street ca. 1905, shot just one year after Leopold Bloom & company caroused around Dublin on June 16, 1904 in James Joyce's Ulysses, a yearly event forever commemorated as a joyous literary paen forever known as Bloomsday. :)

The journey. :)

To yours truly, who actually read the book twice, the most amazing part is Molly Bloom's Soliloquy, a description of love, lust and remembrance, distilled to a lyric essence by a writer at the absolute top of his game.
